So, I have been on the hunt for ways to increase m&#121&#32&#102lexibility.

I studied many different methods, and &#119&#104&#105ch finally led me to an in depth study of yoga.

I &#107&#110&#111w what many of you are saying, “Yoga? Yoga is so damn boring!”

Well you are ri&#103&#104&#116. Most types of Yoga are indeed very boring to Cap&#111&#101&#114istas who are used to free flowing movements and t&#104&#101&#32excitement of a kick flying at your face and peopl&#101&#32&#99lapping and singing at the top of their lungs. T&#104&#101&#32meditative, soft, chill atmosphere that yoga creat&#101&#115&#32can definitely be in direct opposition to the exci&#116&#105&#110g energy and give and take of capoeira.

But is all&#32&#89&#111ga the same?

There are a million different types o&#102&#32&#121oga. Some with faster movements, some that hold th&#101&#32&#97sanas(postures) for long periods, and some that do&#110’t use any po&#115&#116&#117res at all.

Recently I stumbled on a pretty exciti&#110&#103&#32type of yoga. It is called Prasara Yoga.

I like it&#32&#98&#101cause Prasara Yoga still has the dynamic movements&#32&#111&#102 traditional yoga, but unlike traditional yoga, it&#32&#105&#115 able to build muscle and flexibility at the same &#116&#105&#109e. It also doesn’t bore you to death. You also don’t need to practice Prasara &#89&#111&#103a on a mat or even in a yoga studio. This allows t&#104&#101&#32practitioner the freedom to focus more on the indi&#118&#105&#100ual movement and the breath and not on the popular&#32&#112&#114actice of only doing yoga in an established space.
&#10
&#84&#104e highest state or Samandi as yogis call it, is re&#97&#99&#104ed within these dynamic movements and not at the e&#110&#100&#32when you go to lotus position or shavasana (corpse&#32&#112&#111se).

This allows you to get into the zone in a mor&#101&#32&#109eaningful way. It is a method that you can take &#119&#105&#116h you in daily life, and not just when you are in &#97&#32&#99ave in the middle of nowhere. You can practice it &#97&#110&#121where, including on the road, in hotel rooms, and &#105&#110&#32as little as 14 minutes a day.

What do you think?

&#10
&#73&#102 you have had a chance to try out Prasara yoga, I &#119&#111&#117ld love to know what you think about it.

I persona&#108&#108&#121 am sold. I think that it is a great addition to m&#121&#32&#121oga practice and has helped me do things like a pl&#97&#110&#99he and easier handstands with more con<s></s>trol then ev&#101&#114&#32before.

If you love traditional yoga, then this mi&#103&#104&#116 not be your thing. And that is ok too. I am just &#97&#116&#32the point where I am super excited abou<s></s>t the possi&#98&#105&#108ities of body weight exercises to build functional&#32&#115&#116rength in ways that modern weights can not do.
