Capoeira Classes Chicago

Ah, the windy city.

Few places in the US can bring such shivers down your spine in the frigid winters as Chicago does.

For years and years I didn't understand the appeal.

How could anyone live in this city on the lake the size of an ocean?

But then I visited Chicago in the summer, and finally got it.

Chicago is Awesome in the summer.

Everyone comes out, the city is full of festivals and parties. There's bike lanes and there sidewalk cafes, and Chicago is absolutely gorgeous!

Chicago is also a hotbed for Capoeira.

There are huge capoeira organizations there, both in the Capoeira Angola, and Capoeira Regional disciplines.

The last time I went to a class there, I went to what seemed like capoeira boot camp at the Cordao de Ouro class. It was so much fun. Everyone was friendly, even the super machismo capoeira guys who put add a little extra on the their accent when their trying to pick up girls.
